Why trans ideology does matter at election time.
The left still has its head in the sand on the impact of trans ideology, and the right is grateful for it.
Hot on the heels of surviving an assassination attempt, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump took to the stage at the Republican National Committee in Milwaukee on Thursday. One moment in particular caught my eye:
“We will not have men playing in women’s sports, that will end immediately” Trump declared, to rapturous applause and cheers.
How did we get here? How did we arrive in a universe where a Republican presidential nominee understands it will bolster his election campaign by making proclamations of this kind?
“We will not have men playing in women’s sports, that will end immediately”
I just want you to try and comprehend how we would even begin to explain this to a time traveller from 2009—such is the speed and distance with which trans ideology has spread.
Of course, many would be tempted to argue that all this simply indicates progress. That we are embroiled in a trans civil rights battle, directly comparable to the struggles that gay people faced in their fight for emancipation and equal rights. The GOP was on the wrong side of gay rights, therefore they must be on the wrong side of this. History repeating itself.
It is nothing of the sort of course. Gay people simply campaigned for the right to love and marry whoever they wanted—essentially just demanding for themselves what everyone else had. In contrast, trans ideology aims to rewrite the fabric of reality and place its nonsensical doctrine at the heart of government policy, society, education, healthcare and the workplace.
Rather than a movement for ‘progress’, trans activism represents a complete regression where safeguarding and women’s rights are concerned. Not to mention the incalculable number of children that have swallowed anti-scientific lies from adults that convinced them they were “born in the wrong body”. We will be working through the rubble of this unforgivable crime for generations to come.
I am not naïve enough to believe everyone making sensible noises on this issue has a burning commitment to women’s rights of course—least of all the GOP and Donald Trump. But that’s not the point.
This issue has become central because it is a magic bullet for discerning whether a person or political party has become utterly captured by a nonsensical ideology. Asking someone whether they believe humans can change sex, whether men should be allowed to compete in women’s sports or use the women’s restroom is a perfect tool with which the average voter can assess how untethered from reality someone has become. And if someone can't be trusted to accurately answer whether women can have a penis, why should we trust them to make sense about anything else?
Consider the shape of the earth for instance. How much does it impact your daily schedule that we live on a planet that is shaped like an oblate spheroid? Not very much I imagine. I suspect you can’t recall a single time that you were inconvenienced by this fact of reality. A political non-issue.
Now imagine if you will that a mainstream political and cultural movement emerged that was utterly adamant that the earth was in fact flat. And furthermore, they would not be satisfied until you affirmed that the earth was flat too. And worse–imagine that this flat-earthism was widely adopted and promoted by endless institutions, media outlets, political parties, corporations and HR departments. And any attempts to claim the earth was in fact not flat could result in loss of employment and police investigation.
The average voter may suddenly take a quiet and keen interest in what noises elected representatives were making on this earth-related issue come election time.
And this is where we currently find ourselves with trans ideology. A pseudoscientific faith based worldview, hellbent on destroying women’s rights and imposing its tenets on wider society. Sane people understand that trans people must have the same rights as everyone else. They also understand it is insane to allow men to compete in women’s sport and pretend it’s a ‘trans right’. My fellow leftists could have known this from the start and they have no excuse not to know it now. Yet they will persist in denying this blatant reality in service of their tribalism. The right will not make the same mistake here. What an inexcusable open goal to offer them.
Say it loud and say it frequently. It’s a travesty against women’s rights and children’s safety.
In addition to the insanity of men competing in women's sports and the mutilation of children in the pursuit of the unattainable, the issue of women’s privacy is equally troubling.
In my opinion the worst aspect of demented Joe Biden's new Education Act Title IX regulations that go into effect on August 1 of this year is that boys and men will be able to to shower with high school and college girls (including my 17 year old granddaughter).
They will have no shame in doing that when it's perfectly legal. If somehow he is allowed to continue to run he deserves to lose the election on this issue alone.
Here's an analysis of the new regulations by the Foundation Against Intolerance and
Racism (FAIR):
"The Final Rule is likely to result in sex-integration of all bathrooms and locker rooms because it prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender identity. After August 1st, if a school requires students to use facilities that align with their biological sex (which they are currently allowed to require under Federal law and regulations), a transgender student may file a discrimination complaint alleging that the school has violated Title IX by preventing him or her from using the bathroom that aligns with their gender."
